Ingredients

For rosemary simple syrup:

2 cups water

2/3 cup granulated sugar

6 inches fresh rosemary sprigs

For serving:

Ice

8 oz. lemonade

2 oz. rosemary simple syrup

Instructions

  1. Combine water, sugar, and rosemary in a medium saucepan. Heat on medium heat until the sugar is fully dissolved, stirring occasionally and pressing the rosemary sprigs against the side of the pan with a spoon to help release the essential oils.
  2. Once sugar is fully dissolved, turn off the heat, and remove the pan from the stove. Allow the rosemary to steep for 15 minutes.
  3. After 15 minutes, remove the rosemary sprigs and discard. Transfer the syrup to a clean jar for storage. Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  4. To make one serving of lemonade, add ice to a large glass. Fill with 8 oz. lemonade and 2 oz. rosemary simple syrup. Stir to combine, and enjoy!

Note:

  • To make a large batch or pitcher, the simple syrup recipe yields 18 oz., so combine one batch of the rosemary simple syrup with 72 oz. of lemonade. Serve in large glasses over ice!
