Spiced Pumpkin Cocoa

Spiced Pumpkin Cocoa is a nutrient-dense, whole food, homemade autumn hug in a mug.

Ingredients

2 cups oat milk (see Note)

1/3 cup pumpkin puree

1/3 cup pure maple syrup

3 Tbsp. cacao powder

1 tsp. vanilla extract

1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

1/2 tsp. ground turmeric

1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg

1/4 tsp. ground ginger

1/8 tsp. sea salt

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in a small saucepan on the stove, and whisk to combine. Heat over medium heat until desired hot beverage temperature, about 7-8 minutes. 
  2. Pour hot cocoa into mugs and serve! 

Note: 

  • Feel free to use any rich, creamy milk here - I tried both oat milk and coconut milk in testing, and oat was my favorite.
